TREND: EXOTIC SKINS

This season it's not the size or shape of your bag that counts it's the luxury hide it's made of that screams Spring 2012.  Exotic skins were seen at many designers such as Bottega Veneta, Loewe, Cavalli, Ellie Saab, Gucci, Fendi and Valentino.  Here are the bags on the catwalk.

We don't all have the money nor lack of sanity to throw thousands at a bag so our trusty high street, as always, provides us with a plethora of alternatives.

Topshop's milkshake pink snake bag is perfect for the day as it is HUUUGE, also the pastel colour balances out the edgy skin softening the look, if you want a more fierce approach it also comes in black.

River Island's yellow croc number is very lady like and will suit the prim and proper look which is around this season, also yellow is big at the moment making it perfect for summer.

Mango's lime green croc clutch is a daring move for evening, the colour is great and the size is convenient, as is the chain strap, also available in black, beige and fuchsia.  If you need a smaller day bag zara have a black one with a snake panel which is more understated if you don't want to go all out.
